Pope Francis conveyed his congratulations to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of independence of Ukraine.

Leader of the Roman Catholic Church expressed “sincere wishes of welfare and peace” to the President and all Ukrainians. “In current situation, I would like to wish that the people of Ukraine will be able to move the path of development, conciliation and peace. I ask Almighty God to generously bless all residents of the country, as well as executives, giving them the grace to live in harmony and brotherhood”.
